My first stage is finished!

First stage of Tour de Fleece ‘09 – camel/silk, 2ply, 100g, 385m, approx 24wpi. I’m really pleased with this as I’ve managed to spin a luxury fibre without turning it into twine – it’s sooo soft. I just wish I’d dyed up a bit more at the same time so I could have got more yardage.
I’m using the Tour de Fleece to set myself spinning challenges to try – things I’ve avoided doing so far because I find them hard, or assume I can’t do them before even trying, and so on. This was one!
The next challenge is spinning a low-twist singles. I’ll be using some gorgeous Babylonglegs Falkland I bought from her at UK Ravelry Day… fingers crossed I don’t end up with a twisty mess! I know how it should work in theory, I’m hoping that all I have to do is take a deep breath & get on with it!
